CCSA Rec Soccer 2026

For 34 years, the Copper Country Soccer Association (CCSA) has provided local, recreational soccer programs for youth in Houghton, Baraga, and Keweenaw counties.

Volunteer Requirement

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

If you do not meet your volunteer requirement, you will be charged $35.00 at the end of the season.

The volunteering calendar will be posted prior to the beginning of the season (early June). This is where you will sign up for opportunities to fulfill your requirement.

Jerseys

Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?

Jerseys are included as part of the registration price.

Ages

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

We have programs for players between 3-18 years-old.

Note:

Soccer age=age the players turn this calendar year [Example: my player is 6, but turns 7 in October; the player is 7)

When

What time of the year does this program run?

The recreational season will take place from mid-Jun--mid-August.

Where are practices and games typically held?

Practices

When are practices and how often are they?

Subject to change:

5U--once a week on Saturday mornings
7U-12U--twice a week (Tues or Thursday and Saturday)
14U-18U--twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday)

If you are in financial need, please complete a scholarship application prior to registration. These are limited and not guaranteed.

For 7U-12U, there will be an evaluation event in late May or early June. More information to come!

We need your help this year!

Please consider coaching, EVERY team is required to have 2 (or MORE!) coaches for the season--we have plenty of resources to assist you!

-We also are in need of Board Members to help with simple administrative tasks!

-All Coaches and Board Members automatically fullfill their mandatory volunteer hour for the season!

NOTE: Our season depends coaching and admin volunteers...."If not YOU than WHO?"
